Special Activities

Music & Movement: Through Music and Movement, the children develop their listening skills and body coordination. The children are exposed to rhythm and are encouraged to move or play an instrument according to the suggested rhythm. They also discover the basic musical concepts such as identifying songs according to the categories: slow and fast, low and high, loud and soft, etc.

Dramatic Play: Children learn and acquire new behavior and attitude through the people they admire and look up to like a family member, a community helper, a favorite character, etc. With the use of imagination, the children are able to act out these role models and explore their expressions and feelings. This activity also promotes social interaction whereas children learn to be cooperative, joyful and are more willing to share and take turns.

Constructive Play: In constructive play, children learn to express themselves with a variety of specifically chosen materials like blocks, bricks and other manipulatives. Constructive Play stimulates imagination and provide opportunities that teach mathematical concepts such as space, depth, length, height, weight, etc. During the process, the children further enhance their language skills as they verbalize their thoughts, explain the workings of their buildings and share each other's perspective of their creations.

Cooking: One of the many activities that the children love the most is cooking. The children experience various textures and observe changes that occur during the activity. This also touches various mathematical concepts such as volume, length, size and the like. Children are encouraged to cooperate with their friends as they work side by side in completing simple tasks.
